English

Amal Malik

I am a recent law graduate from the University of Cambridge and have a prior degree in comparative literature from UCL. I have spent five years working at Lanterna Education among other tutoring companies and have worked with students from a variety of backgrounds, at times supporting candidates who have struggled with language barriers and SEN. I am attentive, patient and work flexibly around my students' needs and preferred learning styles. I primarily teach English at all levels and will pass on to you all the tricks and techniques I used to score 91% myself in IB English Literature A and A*s in both IGCSE English literature and IGCSE English language.

I have custom-tailored hundreds of lessons in GCSE and IGCSE English, marked essays and provided students with general mentorship. I have supported students with written coursework, oral assessments and exam preparation and have secured re-bookings with nearly all of my pupils. I have helped several pupils score 7s in their English interactive oral assessments and English paper ones. I look very forward to helping you achieve your academic goals!
